The Inner World of Jeffery - 寫我心情

I was suffering from gastritis these couple of days! My stomach was just burning pain, and I was in fever also!

Just took 2 days sick leaves! O God, please help me get through this, as I feel that this pain seems never ends!

Time flies, the first week in TMH has passed quickly. In this week I learnt a lot of new things, some of these can only been seen in hospital! I am very excited, and I found that I am totally new in the hematology field!

Thankfully, all the colleagues are very nice to me and very willing to teach me patiently! The working and learning evironment are just perfect for me to grow in this area!

When you ask me what words to be used to describe my work, I will immediately think of the word “SUB”. HAHA~ Why? Because it is exactly what I am doing daily! They are Stool, Urine and Blood! Can you imagine that I have to examine all these daily? Frankly, it is tough sometimes. (When it is real lot every Saturday) Yesterday, it was the toughest day I have since I work for this lab, because there were really lots of stool and urine samples, every time that I nearly finished, there must be somebody knocked the door and put the new lot of samples in front of me, that happened for 3 or 4 times!! As total, I guess I have processed about 150 samples of stool and urine and 30 samples of semen! I really wanted to cry, as I was really frustrated because it seemed that the samples came never end!

However, this way of life will come to an end very soon, as it will be my last day on coming Thursday! WAHAHA~ Thanks God for that!

Working in Hospital is a dream of me which I was young. That is the reason why I wanted to study medicine, but 5 years ago, I failed my dream as I was not good enough to study medicine.

Nevertheless, I did not give my my spirit, and finally, I can work in hospital and archive my dream now! I can go into the hospital daily!! WAHAHA~

However, please pray for my that my working hour will not affect my church life, as I have absolutely no idea about my roster until my first day of work!

Recently, my laboratory hired a new MLT, and suddenly I became her supervisor in all machinaries!

Frankly, she is a person that always ask questions and a bit forgetful, that’s a bit annoying sometimes! HAHA~ Oh well, maybe God is testing my patience towards others!

However, I still instructed her clearly and patiently.

OK! Now, This is real Jeffery to give my “Acedemic” comment! It seems that the previous topic about the global warming just triggered a plenty of opinion exchange which I did not expected! HAHA~ Nevertheless, I love that!

First of all, it is the first time to learn about some new point of views. I think it is interesting and correct, however we have to take a balance and admit also the fact that we have done a lot of things demaging the earth’s thermo-balancing system!

Back to the point, from you Claire’s and Christy’s comment, it seems to me that only CO2 is responsible for the global warming. Indeed, it is not exactly the case! I will talk about this later.

CO2 is a gas that actively reflect infra-red, which is the actual nature of heat. Therefore, if the concentration of CO2 increase, more infra-red are reflected back to the earth. And this is the famous effect called Green House Effect. As you all know, since the starting of industrial revolution in 18th centery, the release of CO2 have been increasing rapidly due to the combustion of the fossil fuel. And as you can see nowadays, all most all the energy source involve burning of fossil fuel and release of CO2. Moreover, originally, God has created to CO2 absorbing systems to maintain the CO2 level, they are the plants (CO2 for photosynthesis) and the ocean (CO2 dissolves in water). However, human keeps cutting the tree which is the only system that really remove CO2 and give out oxygen, making the CO2 balance of the earth goes wild!

Another factor contribute to the global warming is the depletion of the Ozone Layer. Ozone, the molecular formular is O3, and it has a very special properties to absorb ultra-violet, therefore ozone layer can act as heat shield to prevent the earth form over-heating. Nevertheless, this ozone layer have been demaged by one pollutant called Chloroflourocarbon (CFC). This compound appears in the cooling system of air-conditioner, compressed gas spray, etc. It is readily broken down by UV and release free radicals which actack and decompose ozone back into oxygen, depleting the ozone layer and making holes on both north and south poles. Hence, the UV can directly pass through the atmosphere making the earth over-heat.

In the normal situation, ozone layer will not deplete by itself. And CFC cannot be produced by natural environment. Moreover, there is over-cutting of tree everywhere. All these are the main factors contribute to the global warming. It is true that the temperature of the earth is fluctuating all the time, but it is also well proved the depletion of ozone layer is the consequence of human pollution. Therefore, we cannot say that Human is not responsible for the global warming and have to admit that we are not managing the earth well as God has commanded. We have already failed!!!!

Today is my mom’s birthday, therefore we took mum to Ocean Park. We have a great fun time as we have not been there together for a long long time! Thankfully, there were unexpectedly less people, and hence we played all games very comfortably and don’t even have to wait! WAHAHA~

However, there was one thing that made me angry and took action to complain. When we were waiting for hot air balloon, there were some mainlander using some cunning method to not following the line! There were nearly 15 people inserted into the line suddenly, well frankly, my blood was boiled and suddenly my face darken and became silence! Then I went to the officer to complain for that. Thankfully, they immediately dealt with the issue and we could go back to our original position!

I have not been that angry for serveral years! However, I just could not control my angry this time! HAHA~ (Even though I was angry, my attitude was still very polite and mild! Um…I am very proud right now! WAHAHA~)

At night time, we had buffet in Holiday Inn Hotel, the food there was OK, but surprisingly we had window seats this time!! How nice!!!

Just read an article talking about Global warming. In the beginning of this article, the author gave a very interesting statement, he said,

“If you eliminate Human from the planet, Plants will be living happily; but if you remove Plants from the planet, Human will not be survive!”

Absolutely correct! Plants is the special creature that God created to support and maintain all life on earth. By command, Human were given plants to eat. Moreover, plants not only can serve as food to human and other creatures, it also actively provide oxygen to every life form!

Just because Human sinful nature, we selfishly ignore the proper balance of the ecosystem, so as to “improve” our living standard! And now we harvest the fruits that we have planted many years ago! How foolish and powerless we are? We can’t even stop this from getting worst!

Watched a documentory about the human body machanism fight against extremities! It is amazing to watch this programme, as it show me how wonderful God’s creation on our body! Moreover, it show me that even a tiny little cells in our body facing extreme difficulties for survival, they still cooperate with each other to fight against this difficulties, so as to keep us alive!

This also made me thought of the similar survival machanism which is the immune system of our body. All the immune cells in the immune system react against the cancer or deadly infection such as HIV continuously. Even though it not seem to be very efficient or useless, the immune system just won’t stop fighting till the end, in order to keep the body alive!

The shown me the toughness of human body, but meanwhile it revealed the how fragile the mind of men! People easily gave up their life when they face difficulties, without knowing that the difficulties will have an ending point! Compare to the tiny little cells which are struggling to maintain your life, the mind of men was just nothing!

Remember reading that facing difficulties is just like crossing the tunnel, there will be a place of end and see the light again. During the course, patient will be developed.

Starting from the beginning of this year, I begin to realise the real picture of myself. The Lord seems to crush me down as tiny little pieces, as I see myself so naive and immature like a baby boy! I never have the experience that I felt so tiny and insufficient about myself! All the confidence self image that I used to have was destroy completely! Therefore, I panic and hesitate to make decision, however, when I did that the situation just become worst.

I know that this has to be change and I need to change cause there is a fire in my heart. Because I need to grow up and be mature!

O God, please help me as I mature in You! Please help me to be patient as I know that this will be a long process in Your time! O God, please give me clear guidance as I grow!
